This is perhaps the spread I am most proud of from issue 1. I wanted to depict the same moment occurring in two different places at once, so it just made sense to have the underground on the bottom and the surface world on the top. I don’t really have an intended order for these panels to be read, and it’s been interesting seeing the different ways readers navigate through them.
