I was more deeply introduced to the world of zines when I moved to Portland to attend PNCA in August 2014. While studying and learning more about photography and photographers I realized that many of the photographers that influenced my work produced zines to highlight their own work.

I realized I wanted to explore and learn the processes to create a zine using my own photographs. I wanted to have complete control over most of the production and the content. I needed to learn the steps necessary to do this. Thanks to the internet and to many artists who are transparent and willing to share their ideas and processes, I was able to produce a final zine, containing my own color photographs.
