Kailyn Hooley BFA Photography Thesis Spring 2018
A Space for Light
Being in my thesis year while pursuing, and in turn being diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), I felt that I had an opportunity to create a platform; a platform to further community, as well as provide an outlet for myself and others to be the authors of our own stories. A Space For Light began as a way of connecting with other adults with autism following my own adult diagnosis. Beginning as a disposable camera exchange this project evolved and manifested as a book of snapshots/personal text, as well as a spatial installation.
